Reddish North is at the top of the borough, bordering Manchester and Tameside at the Bull\u2019s Head, bounded by the Fallowfield Loop to the west and the Stockport-Stalybridge railway line to the east. Reddish North has the highest population density of the 21 wards in Stockport borough as a result of its many well-preserved terraces, which used to provide housing for workers in its mills. Now providing accommodation, shopping and leisure facilities, Victoria, Elisabeth and Houldsworth Mills are all still standing. The local focal point is Houldsworth Square, named for the family that built all 3 mills, as well as commissioning St Elisabeth\u2019s church from Alfred Waterhouse. Reddish North is also home to Reddish library, in a beautiful building gifted to the area by Stockport Council in 1908. With a strong sense of its industrial past, Reddish North\u2019s many community groups are bringing Reddishers together into the future<\/span><\/p>\n

Rachel works for a national charity giving housing advice and is interested in sustainable transport. She\u2019s proud to be a Unite the Union Health and Safety Rep and a member of the Co-operative Party. She and her partner Christopher welcomed their first child in early 2022<\/span><\/p>\n
