And the message we heard was clear: people want a council that gets the basics right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That means more homes people can actually afford, safer streets, better support for young people, cleaner neighbourhoods and real action on inequality and climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know Stockport is a place full of potential \u2014 but too many people still feel left behind.
