In light of recent events and the ongoing investigations in the widely reported WhatsApp group involving a number of Greater Manchester Councillors and MP’s, I feel it is important to address the concerns and sentiments that have arisen both within our communities and online.
First and foremost, Stockport Labour are shocked and appalled at these recent revelations. However, we want to take this opportunity to highlight the dedication and hard work of all councillors who continue to serve our community with integrity and commitment. Their efforts in addressing your concerns and working for the benefit of our community deserve acknowledgment.
Stockport Labour Group are committed to transparency throughout this process and will co-operate with any investigations. While it is natural to feel frustration, we believe that open communication fosters trust, and we will continue to work hard for you. We ask that everyone engages in respectful discussions to allow your elected representatives the ability to do their job to the best of their ability.
